Racer Classic & Racer 2K3 Harness/Container Systems
The Racer Classic and Racer 2K3 from Parachute Laboratories combine proven engineering, secure canopy containment, and a comfortable, form-fitting harness design.
The Classic Racer is built around a flexible container that conforms closely to the jumper’s body. It features the recognizable Racer midflap, a two-piece riser-cover system, and a hinged connection between the main and reserve containers for exceptional flexibility and comfort.
The Racer 2K3 retains the strength and safety features of the original Racer while adding magnetic trough-style riser covers, strong main-pin protection, a main-bridle protector flap, and a choice of pull-out or throw-out deployment. Functional Velcro was eliminated from the 2K3 design, and five over-the-shoulder sizing formats are available to help achieve the proper fit.

The Racer reserve pilot chute was extensively tested in the NASA Ames wind tunnel to ensure strong, rapid deployment while maintaining secure canopy containment and reliable reserve-bag extraction. More than 43,000 Racer systems have been produced over approximately 45 years of field use.
