The Parachute Laboratories Egress System is a purpose-built emergency parachute system designed for occupants of skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, towers, and other elevated structures where conventional evacuation routes may become inaccessible during a catastrophic emergency.

Fire, earthquake, structural damage, blocked stairwells, or other extraordinary events can create situations where normal building egress is no longer achievable. The PLABS Egress System is designed to provide a supplemental last-resort escape capability for appropriately trained and equipped users when established evacuation methods cannot be used.

Proven Racer Harness Technology

The Egress System is built around the current TSO'd Racer harness design, bringing decades of Parachute Laboratories harness engineering into a purpose-built emergency escape system.

The Racer harness provides a secure, body-conforming platform engineered for parachute deployment loads while maintaining the adjustability and comfort needed for emergency-use equipment.

The system can be configured for individual users, corporate facilities, government organizations, specialized response teams, and other applications requiring an additional emergency-egress capability.

Standard 300 sq. ft. BaseX Canopy

The standard Egress System is supplied with a 300-square-foot BaseX canopy.

The BaseX is a 7-cell ram-air canopy designed for rapid, on-heading openings at sub-terminal speeds, making it particularly suited to applications where available altitude may be limited and rapid canopy deployment is critical.

Alternative canopy configurations are available upon customer request, including:

• Round parachute configurations

• Alternative square or ram-air canopies

• Mission-specific canopy sizing

• Customer-specific configurations based on operating requirements

Additional charges may apply for non-standard canopy configurations.
